Wawa Studio offers a full service studio rental experience in Tokyo. Our studio is equipped with on-trend furnishings, props, backdrops & studio lighting.

The studio is located in Minato City. Our studio has three separate main studio rooms (commercial, boudoir and styled sets room, plus an entire suite for in house hair and makeup!). This studio also features plentiful natural light, large windows, high ceilings and beautiful original floors. The vibe in this space is chic and timeless.

As a full service studio, we are committed to making this a stress-free and comfortable studio experience for you and your clients. During your orientation we will talk about which sets you’d like to use and we will do most of the work of setting up the studio so that you can focus on creating your art in this space. Use the equipment provided or bring your own.

With a passion for photography and interior design, Chigusa has hosted photographers and models from all around the world at her humble studio. With a meticulous eye for detail, coupled with a refreshingly cheery personality, she is what gives Wawa Studio it's spark!

English Liaison and Translator

Andrew Wexler

Wawa Studio deals with a lot of overseas clients and Andrew is the one who helps us stay connected with them. Everything from client correspondence to English translation of all kinds, Andrew truly brings an international flair to our studio!

History

2020 was a year with a lot changes, but it was also the year Wawa studio had it's humble start. Wawa started like any other small business; a white sheet on a wall, a couple of little lights and aspirations for a brighter future. However, despite it's modest beginnings, Chigusa had the passion and the drive to persevere despite a lack of resources. Eventually, other people started to see her vision, and a white sheet became a backdrop, the lights got bigger and some furniture was began to be introduced. Slowly but surely, this studio was coming in to it's own. It wasn't long before she was able to move into a bigger space. That's when her creativity could really shine through. She now had the means to craft a space that she had long dreamed of. Soon enough, she began to develop quite the reputation, not only from within Japan, but from overseas as well. But despite her monumental growth, complacency has not slowed her down and she continues to expand on her dream each and every day, with big plans for the future!
